PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:  

  • Kriel & Co offers clients holistic data privacy advice, with a current focus on helping global organisations practically comply with the provisions of South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Our inter-operable practice of technology attorneys and management consultants offer clients one of the most comperehensive and practical premium professional services solutions on the market today.

  • The Junior Analyst will support the team with reasearch, analysis, assessments and other organisational projects, which includes but is not limited to: 

  • Devising, optimizing and improving our firm’s current research methodology (consisting of a quantitative and qualitative approach).  

  • Supporting the Project Manager with the execution of the above research.  

  • Analysis of quantitative research data (such as questionnaire responses) and qualitative data (such as focus groups or conversation data). These tasks may include gathering, validating, and documenting various system information and needs. 

  • Mapping of information flows on a data map / visualization of data.  

  • Writing of observations and recommendations in report format with guidance / oversight of the senior analyst / director.  

  • Where relevant or required by the Project Manager, the presentation or delivery of research findings to clients. 

  • The Junior Analyst will also be responsible for pro-actively devising and executing research on client industry trends and management consulting industry best practices. These insights are curated on our knowledge hub and relayed / translated to our team in the form of regular interactive knowledge management sessions which the analyst assists in facilitating / presenting with the appropriate manager.  

JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Full proficiency and command of the English language.  

  • Good analytical and evaluative skills in tasks. 

  • Relevant tertiary education and academic credentials. A post-graduate degree in Commerce or Engineering is advantageous.  

  • Prior management consulting experience, employment or contract work at an IMC-registered consulting firm or research institution is advantageous.  

  • Experience in data visualization software is advantageous (such as MS Visio).  

  • Fully capable to operate the Microsoft Office Suite (with Microsoft Cloud experience advantageous).  

  • Tech savvy skills with the ability to comfortably work in a digital-first, completely paperless team. 

  • Credible references.
